Paver patios, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens and planting for Hickory homes, from in-town lots to the sloped shoreline of Lake Hickory. Designed in 3D first, then built by our own crew.
Hickory sits about 20 miles east of our Morganton base on I-40, and it is one of the areas we work in most. The ground here asks for a specific approach, and we plan every job around it.
Catawba County clay holds water and shifts as it dries. We dig deeper, compact the gravel base in lifts, and pitch every patio so water runs off instead of sitting under the pavers.
Lots that fall toward the water need walls that manage both the grade and the runoff. We build terraced, drained walls that turn a steep bank into usable, level space.
Older yards often mean tight access, mature trees and existing concrete. We use compact equipment and plan around roots and utilities before anything is cut.
One crew for the whole project, from the first 3D drawing to the last plant in the ground.
Patios, walkways and pool decks on a deep compacted base, in pavers from Belgard, Unilock and Techo-Bloc.
Engineered block and natural stone walls with drainage built in, from garden walls to multi-tier systems.
Built-in grills, counters and bar seating in stone and block, designed around how you cook and host.
See your project in a realistic 3D model before we build, so the layout and materials are settled up front.
Trees, shrubs, beds and mulch chosen for Western NC conditions and installed to thrive.
Fire pits, seat walls, stone steps and lighting that finish the space and make it usable after dark.
Yes. Hickory is about 20 miles east of Morganton on I-40, and we are there regularly. Site visits and quotes are free. We also work in nearby communities such as Conover, Newton, Long View and Granite Falls.
Yes. Sloped and waterfront lots are a large part of what we do. We use tiered retaining walls with gravel backfill and drain pipe to hold the grade, then add steps and patios to make the slope usable. Work close to the shoreline can involve extra rules, so we walk the site with you first and flag anything that needs approval before we start.
It depends on size, materials and how much site preparation the lot needs. Segmental block retaining walls typically run $25 to $50 per square foot installed, and natural stone runs higher. Yes. Our 3D design service shows your patio, walls, kitchen and planting on your actual property before construction starts, so you can adjust the layout and materials while changes are still easy.
